LOCK IN and much more

On Tuesday, December 21st, the first day after school is out, we are going to host a lockin at the Outreach Building.  BUT... It's more than that.  We're going to head out to Jack & Shirley Emerson's place for some "capture the flag", then we're going to have a cook out, after that we'll go Christmas Caroling for some of our neighbors, THEN the lock-in officially begins.  There's going to be a basketball tournament; all kinds of games: cards, dominoes, other board games; crafts; and movies.  We might even squeeze in some sleep...but don't count on it.  Come join the fun!

Oh yeah, it's for ages 2nd grade and up, but in order to get in you got to have a parental consent form signed.  Give me a shout and I'll get one to you, or just drop by the church sometime before Tuesday.

Fifth Quarter this Friday night!

This Friday will be the first of only two Friday homegames that Stuart has on the schedule.  It's our goal to get as many players (and their families) to come by and enjoy some sub-sandwhiches and a build-your-own sundae after the game against Calvin.  Enjoy the food and more importantly enjoy the company, come by and support our local athletes.

The next scheduled fifth quarter that we'll be hosting is on January 28th against Red Oak.

ECOYC commonly known as Arrowhead Camp

Well it's time for camp.  This is a new one for me, but I'm looking forward to it.  If you haven't ever been to church camp, its probably THE event that helps kids bond with other Christian kids the most.  This week will be the 9th-12th grade camp and next week is the 3rd-8th graders.  The theme will be "the greatest show on earth" which is obviously talking about the church.  Although some might shy away from calling it a show, it is the most powerful, exciting, and rewarding organization we could ever be a part of, simply because its more than an organization, its a group that has been added to the Lord's body.  That sounds odd to some people but it will all make more sense one the day all this temporary earthy stuff fades away and the permanent spiritual matter is all that's left.

Well, this is the first post I've put on here in a LOOOOOOOOOONG time so I apologize for being slow and will try to have more stuff on here soon.  Have a great week.

Youth Focus - Stuart

On March 7th at 4:30pm we will be hosting the area Youth Focus.  We'll be looking at finding direction in life.  Its my hope that we'll point kids in the right direction by challenging them to consider where they are headed.  In Psalms 119:105 we're told the tool that helps us see where we're going, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."  Be sure to encourage someone to stay "on track" today.  See you Sunday!

A great season!

I want to congratulate the Stuart Hornets on a great season.  It ended sooner than we hoped but the boys played hard and we're proud of you all!
